Hacking Bureaucracy with Shared Services

Policymakers increasingly recognize the applicability of shared services procurement models for IT modernization generally, but there are some specific benefits for cybersecurity. This talk covers case studies/examples from municipal cybersecurity, election security, and defense industrial base cybersecurity, and explains how to apply the concepts more broadly to federal cybersecurity.

Rob Sheldon is Head of Technology Strategy for Public Sector at CrowdStrike. In that capacity, he covers federal, state, and local government programs, policies, and initiatives, as well as partnerships for the CrowdStrike Foundation. In addition, he is an adjunct fellow with the Technology Policy Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
